You might be wondering, "why is Theia beta"?
It is stable enough to run on a live site, but the reason it is still a beta is basically that it is not yet standards compliant. I've been working on cleaning up the HTML so that it is pure XHTML, but this isn't going to happen overnight. Fortunately, I'm probably at least half way there, but there is also still a lot left that needs to be done.
I won't feel satisfied with referring to it as a "stable" release until it is fully standards compliant, which will also mean that by that time, many new features will be present and the system will hopefully be a lot less buggy and much faster.
Oh, and because of the lack of a WYSIWYG editor. Truth be told, a content management system without a WYSIWYG editor feels kinda ironic. So this has got to be included in the system before it is "stable" as well.
I don't have an estimate as to how long this will take, but it will be at least several more months until all the pieces are in place. Of course, in the mean time there will be many newer beta builds with fixes and new features!
