The third beta of Theia includes numerous new features and bug fixes. Here are a breakdown of some of the biggest new features and improvements:
- CGI/FastCGI compatible
- it's now possible to install Theia in a sub-directory of a domain
- import your contacts from hotmail, gmail, facebook, yahoo, and tons more (thanks to OpenInviter)
- sound effect support for chat (when a user enters and for new messages)
- ShoutCAST radio support
- be notified before your friends have a birthday
- most profile related fields can now be enabled/disabled as desired
- mailing list interface finally added so you can manage mailing lists independent of your member database
- quickly link to a member's profile by writing @ followed by their username
For information or help on using a feature you see mentioned here, but can't find how to use (and has no documentation now), just reply to this message or drop us a line. We'll do our best to get some more documentation up shortly.
For a complete list of changes and bug fixes, check out our live development history.
Notice: Though all the other themes available in the download section will install and will work for the most part, there will be several minor things that won't look right. Just sit tight and all of the themes will be updated to be fully compatible within 24 hours!
