Over the course of more than a decade of building websites, I have experimented with many styles, themes, and a wide range of technologies to meet the demands required by each project. I have run into countless hurdles, and for everyone found a viable solution. I am passionate, hard-working, attentive to detail and very serious about what I do; you might say that I'm quite the perfectionist. I strongly believe in creativity over conformity, and feel its better to set trends than to follow them.
Theia - Azura
Theia theme - Azura
Estimated development year: 2010
The aim of this theme was to incorporate as many of the "web 2.0" cliches as possible, while still retaining a pleasant and unique feel. Lots of transparency and gradients have been used to create soft blending effects. Many elements with the heading are absolutely positioned to give a nice layering effect, and quite a bit of CSS3 has been incorporated to give modern browsers a sleeker feel.
SikoSoft - version 1

Many of you will probably remember this design, as until very recently it was how this site looked. It's been felt for a long time now the old site had too much of a focus on Theia and not enough of a focus on SikoSoft; which was ironic considering the website address. This look had many other fundemental problems as well which lead to the motivation to redo it - the biggest of which was that it was too narrow. The somewhat spacey theme was incorporated for Theias' namesake.

After many years of not running a personal site, I eventually realized I'd like to have one again, especially after feeling overwhelmed more and more with the rampant conformity online. The site focuses on my personal rants, self-exploration and psychonautics, and for a time many of the full length video game reviews that I had a hobby for writing. Aside from the ranting and reviewing, I eventually added some of my artwork. The design took no more than a day, which clearly resonates to me today. >_<
Columbine Kids
Estimated development year: 2007
Though probably quite controversial in nature, and nothing more than a splash page, I liked the blood splatter effect enough to include it here. After running an alternative community for many years, I developed a connection with the marginalized outcasts of society, and deeply feel for them. The site is in no way an endorsement of any violent behavior, but on the contrary a protest to say to society that we are failing miserably if we can create these type of people. Our selfishness, hostility, hatred and persecution breads the monsters we later condemn. These things happen because of each and every one of us, and until we change ourselves, they will continue to happen.

Fun With Faces
Fun With Faces
Estimated development year: 2005
A short-lived, yet very fun project I worked on back in the days when I was trying to master image manipulation with PHP and GD Library. Visitors were encouraged to upload a very specific photograph of their face, which would then be automatically inserted into a host of image "templates" (images with transparent "holes" where a face would appear). It involved all sorts of effects from resizing, stretching, desaturating, but could have been a lot better had face detection been where it is at today.
PixelatedByLev
Estimated development year: 2004
The PixelatedByLev.com site (which now redirects here) was my previous development-oriented site, which a strong focus on some of the free PHP scripts I had developed. Though the site evolved very little (if any) from the day it went up (many years ago), it still held up fairly well over the years, and accumulated close to 70,000 downloads! Much like many of my other private/personal projects, I was not shy to use imagery and theming I felt akin to.
