Terms of use - website rules and conditions « policies
First of all, it should be pointed out that this policy concerns solely the scope of the SikoSoft/Theia website; and should not be interpreted as any license or policy for the use, modification or distribution of Theia. For that, go here.
Since this is simply a website usage agreement, this will be a lot less formal and more to the point.
Rules
- No spamming (mentioning your website is fine, as is displaying a banner for your website, but hawking of commercial products or posting advertisements that are irrelevant is forbidden).
- Treat all human beings as your equals, regardless of if they are or not; do not condescend or intentionally say something to anger or offend someone. You are welcome to have an opinion, and even hold an unpopular viewpoint (whatever the subject may be), but please try to remember that there are different ways of saying the same thing. Try to realize that behind every computer screen sits another living, breathing human being - just like yourself. Everyone has feelings and emotions, like yourself, so please try to practice good social and emotional intelligence.
- You are not allowed to mass email/message our members with any sort of message or advertisement (regardless of whether it was through the private messenger, email, or otherwise).
- You ARE allowed to mention and discuss other similar or "competitive" software, but again - only when relevant. Otherwise, see the above area for spam.
- You may not harass any other members of this website.
- You may not sign up for any one else's website, which you found through our site, with the sole intention of harassment, spam or any other form of abuse.
- Question authority (moderation), when it seems as though the authority is abusing their power. Report any such believed abuses of power through the contact form.
- Do not post images that will stretch our site (either in your items or posts); what you do on your profile is your own business. Please use the HTML width/height attributes to resize them if you see they are distorting the page. You don't need to worry about using large images when you upload files to our site with your items, as these resized and formatted as necessary.
- Do not try to harm our website in any way. If you're looking for security exploits, you're welcome to try something safe and harmless, but asked to please report any findings if you do discover an exploit or security issue.
- Keep in mind that this site is fully accessible to everyone around the world, and of all ages. Understanding this, try to consciously realize that minors or sensitive visitors may lurk about, and for this reason avoid posting any "obscene" material.
