I went in to the unemployment office over here in Sweden today, and had a bit of a chit chat with them about starting my own company again. I brought it up again, since I now am putting together all the pieces.

It sounded really optimistic, because I was discussing the "bidrag" (a Swedish word for when the government gives you money for something), and it sounded like I was definitely elligible for it.

Even better, my handler set me up with all the paper work I need to get the ball rolling. So, with a bit of help from Nero, I will have it all filled in and turned into them before this week is out. I want to know as soon as possible if the government is going to help SikoSoft get started, because if they aren't then I can just move on, and take matters completely into my own hands.

That is definitely one of the perks of Sweden. The taxes might be frighteningly high, but at least there are numerous programs that provide financial support for all aspects of social life. It would be great if the office that grants these "bidrags" gives the okay to SikoSoft, because it will mean so many things.

First it would mean, I'd instantly have access to some money to put into advertising, but it would also make the whole process of setting up a company far easier since I'd have someone to help me with it.

Well, I am crossing my fingers, and hoping for the best, but not raising my expectations, so they don't get quickly shattered.

In any event, I will establish SikoSoft as a legitimate entity shortly, because I want to go legit as quickly as possible.
