Since the discovered issue was considered serious enough to be addressed ASAP, I thought I'd patch beta three and slightly change its version number to reflect the difference between people who got the first version and those who download it from now on. It's available from the same download as before.
The only things that have changed are as follows:
- the issue with the terms of use and registration has been fixed; before, if you had no configured a terms of use item for your site, no one would be able to join
- the chatter box has been optimized and improved a bit; for larger sites there should be a dramatic performance improvement since the old design was unnecessarily bloated
- a small bug has been fixed in the "link to us" page, which was causing no URL to be generated for your site (for those who are logged in, and if the affiliate system was disabled)
- the tool for configuring site policies (admin tool 135) has been updated so that you are no longer forced to enter either of the policies
Since only the "terms of use & registration" issue is significant, all you need to do is replace your signup.php file with the one you get in the package (if you download it again), found @ src/signup.php.
