One month to go until Theia goes "stable" « home

Yup, I'm still planning on sticking to the original date I've mentioned a few times: July 12th, 2010.
The date is my birthday, and I like being ironic by giving something away on my birthday. This is also the one year anniversary since when the first public beta of Theia was released.
To recap what is planned:
- XHTML strict validation
- CSS file for every module
- improved profile customization
- improved language management
- theme creation tool
- a complete service index mechanism (more on this later)
- site map
I also plan on spending a good amount of time tweaking different areas to keep performance in mind, and I hope to cut back on some query wastefulness by caching more data.
The reason I quote stable is because I honestly believe that Theia has been stable enough for live use for a long time now, and also because I know there is no way I will manage to catch every bug as virtually all software has at least a glitch or two.
I will add a countdown counter somewhere at the top very soon (hopefully tomorrow) to build up some hype, and strongly encourage anyone who already uses it to report anything they have found to be working incorrectly, and to send in any requests, recommendations and complaints about current functionality. With your help, let's make this the best CMS!
There will be one additional beta released before the stable (probably on the last day of June or the first day of July), and during that lag until the stable, no additional features will be added and only tweaks and bug fixes will be added.
Stay tuned 'cause good things are on the way!
