Not receiving messages sent through contact form « documentation » troubleshooting

If you are receiving emails through other parts of your site, but don't get anything when the contact form is used, then it's entirely possible, the system is not even setup to send you these emails.

In order to receive messages sent from the contact form, you must have the passive admin permission (180), and you must have ticked the necessary box(es) in the notifications area.

To navigate to the notifications page, click "settings", and then click "Manage Notifications" (if you do not see the "Manage Notifications" link on the settings page, then make sure notifications are enabled in "control active services"; admin tool 116).

Once you are viewing the notifications page (notify.php), jump down to group 7 (administrative). Assuming you have the permission set to allow your account to enable and disable contact form notifications, there will be an option here reading, receive messages from contact form. Tick the left box to receive all of the contact form messages sent to your email address, and tick the right box to receive all of the contact messages through your private messenger (or tick both to receive contact messages to both places).
