Here are some specifics about the environments used (local and remote):

Remote (server)

- Debian Linux
- Apache 2
- PHP 5.3
- MySQL 5

Local (computer performing the installation)

- Ubuntu Linux 9.10
- FileZilla (for FTP / file transfers / CHMOD)
- BASH shell (for CHMOD and editing config file)
- Firefox 3 (running the wizard / viewing the site)

Obviously (or maybe not obviously) you do *not* need to use Linux, Filezilla, the command line shell or Firefox for performing the installation - this is merely what was used for this video. Though your server must meet our requirements, your local computer can run any operating system and you can use any FTP client as well as any modern/compatible browser (IE8, Firefox, Google Chrome, Opera, Safari, etc.).

Notable comments about this video:

- This is all performed in real-time, and no video editing has been made; the reason the file transfer in FTP goes so quick compared to the speed you may experience is because my server is at home, and the connection to the server is made locally through the router/switch.

- Changing the directory permissions is done using the command line because I am more accustomed to this as it is often quicker to do and navigate around.

- A few times I change file permissions I add "-R" at the end of the command, which in Linux/shell terms means (recursively change the permission for all child files within the specified directory).

- You may notice I also make the "themes" directory writable, even though this is never instructed in the wizard; this is because it is not necessary for a standard installation, but it is necessary if you want to edit theme files through Theia's interface.

- You may also notice that at a couple points it seems as though I rotate my desktop in 3D; this is because I am using Ubuntu/Linux. Many new distributions of Linux contain Compiz, which allows for some awesome effects. If you want to have a 3D desktop, you can download many Linux distributions with this already built in for free.

- Because I have root access to the mySQL server, I create the necessary mySQL database/user through phpmyadmin; you will probably need to use your hosting control panel to pull this off if you are not on a dedicated machine.
