I saw that it has been way too long since my last update here, so I figured a little something is better than nothing.
Aside from keeping busy with my job at Massive - A Ubisoft Studio (look, David - I got it right!), I've been playing a good deal with HTML5. :)
HTML5 is awesome, but it - sadly - is underpowered. It's not that the API is necessarily lacking, but that javascript engines in browsers today are not quite at the optimization level just yet to make it feasible for moderately performing applications or games (of equal complexity in say... Flash).
This, as well as talking to some coworkers, has lead me to tinkering a bit with C# & XNA development.
So with any luck I'll be developing something more substantial pretty soon!
Which reminds me, I'll be posting a test Tetr.... ehhhrrr, I can't say that.... I'll be posting a puzzle game I worked on during vacation to get back in the groove of HTML5/canvas. It consists of blocks dropping and the player arranging them to make lines and clear lines - if it sounds familiar, you may have played it! ;)
Hopefully, I keep updated here a bit more often...
